Snakes – Our new reality!! Apparently the Rattle Snakes down here in Texas have stopped Rattling as a new defense. The rattling attracts Wild Boars, which apparently eat Snakes. Nick came across 2 snakes the other day, both very poisionous. Geeze, good thing our dogs are soooo smart.
I’ve been trying to figure out why It’s taken me so long to blog and I think it comes down to guilt, plain and simple. We feel so fortunate and lucky to have escaped the 3rd lockdown and also so thankful that Texas feels safe, you know, besides all the guns…haha.
Wayne Campbell : A gun rack… a gun rack. I don’t even own *a* gun, let alone many guns that would necessitate an entire rack. What am I gonna do with a gun rack?
We have officially been away from home for over a month now, wow time flies. The kids are SO happy that its not Winter anymore…..the snow followed us for quite some time! ‘Mom, I’m so over winter, I just want it to be Summer!!!’
The Kiddos also turned 5 since we’ve been down here!! Kind of a Big Deal – We have BIG kids now;). Once Again, I was awarded ‘Mother of the Year’ for thinking their Birthday was April 26th….not the 28th. We had a coutdown on the go, of course;). Big hype, Lots of hoopla. Planned a Weekend Birthday Day for them – It was Awesome ( A little early, haha). Talked to Papa – kids were like, ‘Hey Papa, our Birthday is Monday…. Papa: Um, it’s Wednesday Guys…. Mom: It’s Monday Papa….. Papa: Isn’t it the 28th??….. Mom: OMG, You’re right!! I guess it’s hard to block out the traumas of childbirth and remember what day it all went down;). haha
Sorry Kids, You have to wait 2 extra days for your presents and cake….womp womp womp!! They actually handled it pretty well. The kids were also SHOCKED that physically, they were not any bigger at all. Here’s the Bday Weekend Party Day:)
We travelled through Washington, Idaho, Wyoming, Colorado, New Mexico and have settled in Texas for the majority of our time here. Good News is that we have a fantastic pool at our RV Resort. Bad News is that the heat has not reduced the amount of men wearing compression socks!! Can’t win them all;). Although having been pregnant with Twins and carrying them well into my 38th week, I can appreciate a high quality compression stocking. If I ever doubt Nicks love for me, I just have to remember him wrestling them onto my unspeakably swollen ankles.
